This is to show the Gradients on the Dublin Connolly to Belfast line. The date of this Map is 1936 (Southern Railway) but still gives a great idea to what sort of work the locomotive has to do to get to Belfast Central Junction is were the line continues to Belfast Central because Belfast Central was built to replace Belfast Great Victoria Street & Queens Quay Station in 1976. Queens Quay Station was the terminus for the Bangor line. A viaduct was built to connect the Bangor line with the line to Dublin Connolly & Belfast Central was built. Belfast Great Victoria Street was demolished  & a hotel built in the Site in April 1976  & then rebuilt on a site just short of the old Station & opened in 30 September 1995.
